Using tele's in Bavaria

The wife and I have been traveling to Europe yearly since 1994. I normally take two bodies and three zooms: 17-35, 28-70 and 70-300VR. I purchased an 80-400VR this fall. In Paris last spring I used the 70-300 a lot. I wondered if there are enough photo opportunities in Bavaria to justify the extra weight (13 oz.) of the 80-400VR?
