Lightroom 3 Good Deal or Not?

I currently have PSE 7 on a windows XP professional PC. Amazon has Lightroom 3 on sale today for $188. Is that a good deal? Will Lightroom 3 work well on the XP operating system?

If your a student or have access to a student ID you can get LR3 for $99 at the Adobe website, it does work on XP w/SP3 according to the site.

Yes LR 3 will work on an XP machine it is under the same restrictions as any Photo editor such as the more memory and disk space you have the better it works.

I did a trial version on my XP laptop...it worked fine.

PS - I saw the Amazon deal also...tempting!

Sorry, that deal was from last Nov. Still $188 is a good deal. I might just do it.
