Several very nice shots here. But The Whipping Post is meant to critique
no more than one picture a week.

I think I know exactly where pic #2 was taken. it looks like it's just north of Shijo-dori in Kyoto, about four streets west of Kawaramachi-dori. If I'm right, just to your left in the picture is a Tonkatsu restaurant that's really good.
Okay, I know this has nothing to do with photo critiqueing, and if I'm out of line about that, I apologize. But just so I'm not completely off-topic, I like the composition, but the geisha seems a tad overexposed compared to the rest of the picture.

Bill is that Swifts Creek and 90 Mile Beach in Australia, or Japanese counterparts?? I really like the two shots with the child, the head over the fence and the dog, except that the dog's legs being cut off takes away from it, sort of distracting from the whole. They are linked by looking the same way - maybe someone they know walking up the road - and you have to wonder why she is up on the fence when there is a perfectly good gate open - . A lovely moment.
