Bob Davis talks about using RadioPoppers with a Canon ST-E2 in E-TTL mode (in his book "LIghts,Camera,Capture"). I have a ST-E2 and know it supports only two zones. Does anyone know if using the RadioPoppers makes it so you can use at least three zones? It seems to me that you need three zones, one for background, one for main light and another for fill.
Maybe the RadioPoppers create a new way to control ratios on flashes they are triggering. I think I understand the concept of RadioPoppers where they attach to the controller (ST-E2 or 580EX) and "see" the infrared and then transmits via a radio link to the RadioPopper receiver that takes the radio signal and sends it to their dedicated flash unit as infrared to support the E-TTL (or i-TTL). It is actually a pretty slick concept and supports whatever TTL is already programmed into the flash.
