:lol3 "dork" angel

so, whatcha buyin? :earMost likely the new R1.:clap

Allready have the HVL-f32x and extra battery and memory stick pro.

It should make a nice camera for street-photography and portraits, no ?

I made a good price for my f828 . especially when one considers I had been using it for a year and a half.
I figured I shouldn't wait too long selling my 828, for all of a sudden I started

to see a lot of second hand 828's popping up on the dutch E-bays and I think the prices will soon drop.
At the same time I couldn't find any new f828's
in the camerastores for sale .:dunno

Here is one of the last pictures made with my 828. (shot by my wife.)

Bye,
Peter Dumont

Since I live in Holland and not in the USA, I probably will have the R1 some weeks later than Andy Williams .
However, I am first on my dealers list and I will start taking pictures as soon as I got it and of course I will post some then.

You will be a dangerous man with a DSLR peter. I has always assumed you had one with those long 'painting with light' exposures.

Can you post that one of you in the 'light car' again ?

GusI am going for the Sony R1, which has a maximum exposure time of 3 minutes,
opposed to 30 seconds on my old 828.

Anyway, here is me in my "light car".

With a torchlight, and with 30 seconds exposure time on my 828.
Also I used serveral exposures that I assembled in PSP.
Or how someone else told me :
"Well Peter, it looks like you have too much time on your hands." :rolleyes

Actually I can't wait to jump into the DSLR realm.

Finances don't allow it right now so I'll continue to enjoy my 828 for as long as I can. It has it's down falls but there is no PERFECT camera out there.

Dunno what I will replace it with? I have been thinking a Digital Rebel XT in black.
Rather have a 20D but I hafta be realistic......just no way I can afford to make a jump like that.

I tried them both last week.
I almost broke the 350 xt as I tried to twist (swivel) it.:confused
It was a bit too small for my fingers ; They got tangled up around it.

The 20 D felt better, but I didn't like the focussing system much - pushing a button and turning a wheel in order too choose one of only nine focusing points in the center area of the ovf .

I much prefer Sony's variable auto-focus point, and for someone who likes streetphotography, the R1 is much less conspicuous than a Dslr .
