There was a great double rainbow and some sweet light, and I was without the camera. Raced home, grabbed it and went back. Light had changed, and once I was on site I realized I really should have brought the longer lens.

Anything here worth keeping?

I would crop a bit tighter and get rid of some of the grass foreground emphasizing the sky even more. Try taking out some of the gap to the right of the white building and see how that looks.

Other than that, I think the exposure is good and the colors of the rainbow came through which is not easy to do!

I agree with less grass in the foreground. I also wonder if steepening the a and b curves in LAB might bring out the colors in the rainbow more effectively.

Addendum - I tried it on one of my rainbows and didn't feel it was a great bit better :dunno More intense, but better???

I'd give this shot a crop to keep the cross, the church and a tad bit of the
clouds above the rainbow--get rid of the grass in front of the church. That
leaves you with a bit of symbolism.

Rainbows are a great catch and tough to get a nice range of color. You
did great with the colors!

Hi Ann,

I'd say give it a big saturation boost and crop as mentioned by the other posters, less grass :D Try to get those hiding rays of sun somewhere in those clouds, I think perhaps a fat s-curve might also be benificial to the picture.

Get back to us with some new results, I'm anxious to see what you can make of it!
