Went on a fishing trip to Canada to a fly in in mid Ontario north west of Armstong.........very isolated outpost camp and only one cabin on the lake. Was accompanied by my three sons. I didn't get a lot of shots but my boys did.

Thats a good sized fish !

I would love to see the northern lights..someone once told me they move fast across the sky..i always assumed they would move slow for some reason.

Dinner was like that every night. Boys usually filet the fish-not a single bone all week:clap :clap :clap . Not a lot of large Pike but that boy caught several.

All in all a good trip...............Mereimage

I would love to see the northern lights..someone once told me they move fast across the sky..i always assumed they would move slow for some reason.

I have seen them before but never like this...Half the sky was covered from horizon to horizon with green swirling light with areas of bright shafts shining down ...its was majestic even a little spooky, You can appreciate how our pre-enlightenment ancestors must have been affected ...I half expected to see angles descending........................................ ..Yeh that Pike was just short of 40inches, hes was very thick thru the body....He was released and immed swam away for another day. It was a good walleye lake with hundreds of 17-20 in fish caught. Next year will primarily go for Big Pike............Thanks for viewing

Thats some great shots of your trip.Im from Northern Alberta and see the northern lights on a regular basis.Sometimes they move very slow and other times they realy like to dance across the sky.Around these parts the pike is called a Jack fish,I cought one at Heart lake that was 23lbs,it was a monster. Here is a couple of shots from my deck while watching the light show that mother nature likes to put on for us.Regards...Mike

Thanks for dropping by............yep if the fish aren't biting then you can take phtos and if the lights bad you can fish...a no brainer for many of us.....and time with the kids without TV, cellphones, computers or friends to get in the way...............Mereimage
