Hi all,
I've just acquired a Sony F828 (as well as some lights and tents) and now I've got the bug. I'm a total newbie to photography so I'd like to get advice from the experienced photographers on how I should best proceed.
I've already signed up for basic photography classes by the local photographers federation next month. And I've bought some books from Amazon to help me understand techniques:
50 Fast Digital Camera Techniques (50 Fast Techniques Series) (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/076452500X/002-2286370-4732045?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance)
40 Digital Photography Techniques (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/8931435118/002-2286370-4732045?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance)
I've also got a very strong background in Photoshop CS but I figure getting these books will be a good investment:
The Photoshop CS2 Book for Digital Photographers (Voices That Matter) (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0321330625/ref=wl_it_dp/002-2286370-4732045?%5Fencoding=UTF8&coliid=IS75P3UKBO0ME&v=glance&colid=D91UMG6R5JI2)
Photoshop CS2 Workflow: The Digital Photographer's Guide (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0782143962/ref=wl_it_dp/002-2286370-4732045?%5Fencoding=UTF8&coliid=IHLC1H2WSJPC2&v=glance&colid=D91UMG6R5JI2)
QUESTION 1: Is there another resource that I should be exploring? Books, websites, forums, etc.
QUESTION 2: What should I be looking into buying next (in order of priority please)? I'm pretty sure a spare battery will be number 1. Followed by storage. But then what?
Feel free to tell me anything else that might be helpful. I'd like to stay away from any reviews of the F828 though simply because this was a gift and I'm really just happy to have something of this level. Besides, I don't think many beginners get this kind of camera to start with so I'm considering myself very lucky.
Thanks!
Anna
