Have there been changes to how the stats are captured in the last 2 days.

All of a sudden my stats have dropped by 2/3rd's from the last week and the same from the monthly daily average.

I checked Statcounter and, compared to the Referring tab, it is missing hits that have always been shown on the Smugmug stats from a specific site I have links to my site.

I've seen something unusual too. I've had the lowest number of hits ever for a day, even though traffic was normal according to sitemeter, statcounter, and analytics. :scratch Something's not right here...

I'm looking at yesterday's stats with Google Analytics. The Referrers page is no longer capturing any Google hits. Google is showing about twice the number of hits that the Stats are showing in total. One thing I noticed in the last couple of days is, in the morning, (east coast), like right now, the Stats are showing 0 hits and sometimes later on, the numbers will ramp up quickly, still ending at the end of the day with unusually low totals, based on my daily averages over the last month. As I said previously, in all the time I have been on Smugmug, this (0 hits by 8:00am) has never happened but started 3 days ago.

Statcounter is showing hits this morning.

Clearly something is wrong with the Smugmug Stats.

Same here. Stats went down, its stucked with same number. But google analytics still counting even in small ammount than usual. This is happening since yesterday.

At this moment, Stats are still showing zero hits. I may not be the most seen photographer on Smugmug but zero is just wrong ;-)

I don't know if it's search related - stats has been broken for the past couple of days for me as well. E.g. a gallery which I know has been repeatedly viewed and downloaded from yesterday shows zero views in stats.

That has been the pattern for the last 3 days now. No stats until 3:00pm or so, then they would trickle in until the stats get reset to start the next day. Still not capturing all and not capturing any referrers.

I looked again and you are right. Start to show this behavior since 2010/10/26. "Once in a blue moon" visitors for me now. ROFL.

GA Smugsmug Stats are not working right.

I put the statcounter.com yesterday and checked today.

Statcounter is counting more than twice visitors than Google Analytics and that number is reflecting on Smugmug stats. I am pretty sure about that because in statcounter I have visitors IP numbers and it is accurate.

What is wrong?

Look at Today Referrers, 0. I know, looking at Statcounter that is wrong. Also look at Today Statistics. It's missing a lot of hits..... it only started up a few hours ago. This has been the pattern the last 3 days.

For example, At 1:30 I had 2 hits from dgrin (on statcounter) that should be in the Referrers. Nada.

I'm seeing stats bounce back to normal a bit, but there was a weird jump in yesterday like a delay in processing or something. I went to sleep at around midnight and it was 8k, and I woke up at 8am and it was around 13k. But it's not normal traffic patterns for any users to look at that number of photos from midnight to 2am cst (midnight pst, which is when I'm assuming the stats cut off for the day). :dunno

I haven't looked at referrer traffic, but I'll see if I can check it really quick.

What's interesting is that if you try to access the stats from the API, that's also broken. :cry
