View Full Version : Custom Domain URL Lost After Uploading

If you have a custom domain and make a new gallery, uploads some images, and then click the gallery name to get to the gallery, it doesn't use your custom name.

Give us your site name - huntsvillecarscene.smugmug.com, custom dns newpics.huntsvillecarscene.com
Describe the problem - the link at the top of the upload screen doesn't use the custom dns after images uploaded
List the steps to replicate and recreate the problem create gallery on account with custom dns
upload some images
use link at the top of simple uploader screen to get to gallery
look at url line for custom domain
Provide links to your galleries, photos, etc so we can look - test gallery: http://newpics.huntsvillecarscene.com/gallery/14289746_HWcek
Let us know your system, and browser and version (e.g., Firefox 3, on Windows) - various XP-based systemsLet me know if there's any more testing I need to do. I just ran into it by accident and was able to reproduce it immediately.

Oh, I forgot to add that it worked correctly before the newest change in simple uploader. This info should help trace down what went wrong. :thumb

No problem. It's a small issue, so it probably gets missed. But it causes me some grief every week.

Good spot Allen. I didn't even know it was on here twice.

It's just getting super annoying to have to make a workaround for this EVERY DAY. It can't be that hard of a fix since it worked fine once upon a time. It's not like a completely new algorithm needs to be thought up.

I was about to do my workaround and remembered it was fixed!! Yay!!
