View Full Version : Video Question

So I just uploaded my first video to my smugmug pro account.

Is there anyway that a client can download this video in full resolution at no cost? All the while not having access to download any of the photos in the gallery for free?

Basically I've got one gallery with all of our clients photos and the one video in it. I don't want her to be able to download any of the photos, unless she buys them, but I do want her to be able to download the video in full res for free... It is too large to email and aside from burning a disk for them, this is my favorite option.

Is this a possibility? Or even if I created an entirely new gallery just for the video so she can download at full res for free.

Thank you.

Hi Bryce,

The only way to do that would be to put the video in a different gallery and then make sure the 'protected' feature is not set in the gallery settings.

Using the SmugMug viewing style, visitors to that gallery will be able to download the video. Note however that while it will be in your original resolution, it will be a compressed version of the video. Unlike photos, we discard your original video once you upload it to SmugMug. So, the downloaded version could have slightly less quality than your original.
