White satin sheen vs white shoot through umbrella

I'm wanting to purchase a shoot through umbrella pretty soon, is there a difference in light output/or catchlights between a satin sheen or just plain white? Here's the satin shoot through: http://www.adorama.com/POU45.html I'm not sure which one to get!

For practical purposes, in shoot-through applications, I doubt that there is too much difference. I do think that the white satin is somewhat more reflective and less transmissive than the matte white used in some other brands of umbrellas, but I don't see that Photogenic gives you a choice. Thread count and fabric thinkness will be larger determinants than sheen.

If you ever do intend to use the umbrellas for reflective application I suggest covered ribs so that eye glasses and other reflective components in the scene show a more even white disc. (I.e., you generally don't want to see the ribs in reflections/catch lights.)
