Share > Be Social > Share on Facebook is posting single L image links, not gallery

I thought this was already mentioned somewhere recently, but am not finding it. I used Share > Be Social > Share on Facebook, which looked like it was working correctly. (It posted links on my wall, gave the gallery title, etc. There's also a link that says "See more photos", and it gave me the correct thumb) However, when I click any of the links on Facebook, each and every one takes me to a view of one photo from the gallery (the photo whose thumb I chose) in large size. There's no way to get to the gallery from the links! This is not the way it had been working as recently as last week... the links were correctly taking viewers to our gallery.

Thanks. A couple people did find the gallery itself from my original post. I'm not sure how-- I guess they clicked "close" on the large size photo, because that's the only way I see that they could then get to the gallery.

I just noticed the Tumblr share is doing the same thing-- linking the photo rather than the whole gallery. It also puts a very small photo on your Tumblr, not much bigger than a thumb. You can't see that any more on my Tumblr page, because I went in and edited it & linked it to the gallery and linked much larger photo, but here's the page with the post (I was linking the same gallery as in the rest of this thread) http://winsomeworks.tumblr.com/

Andy, did you learn anything from Scott about this? And if you want me to try another Tumblr post and leave it the way it is this time, let me know. I don't want to post & have it look like that unless it's "for science"! :wink and I know you'd be looking at it soon.

I was specific about it in post #1 & post #5. We were discussing it & you were going to look into it. Tumblr was having the same trouble FB was having-- if you used "Share / Be Social" to post your gallery on Tumblr, you'd get a very small photo with a link to just that photo rather than the entire gallery. I had to go in then and edit the post to fix it.

Tumblr posts a 150px thumbnail when you use share>be social>tumblr and it will link back to the photo in Lightbox.

If you use share>get a link and post using tumblr's posting feature, you can simply paste the url to the photo (and choose your size) and then choose your click through link (where you want them to go when they click).

Ok-- uh, well, yeah-- uh, I know how to use Tumbr's posting feature. That's what I've been doing all along, until we had Share> Be Social ! The whole point of Share> Be Social, I thought, was to simplify the posting. And yes, I know the tiny result when you try to share using Be Social -- that too was the point! It is basically doing the same thing FB posting through Be Social was doing for a bit. And I thought that what we were doing in this whole thread is seeing if there is anything you guys can do to change this! I mean, just like FB, what's the point of even having Be Social if in reality it doesn't streamline the process of posting elsewhere?

So... are you saying nothing can be done about the tiny thumb that gets posted to Tumblr through Be Social? I mean, this is completely and 100% on Tumblr's end, or can SmugMug do something to improve this? That's the point. If SmugMug absolutely can't do anything to improve this, then it would be best to just get rid of the Tumblr thing on Be Social, because all that does is make people think the process is going to be streamlined, when it's not-- because they'll just end up having to delete the result on Tumblr & do it by hand. I can't imagine anyone suddenly wanting a tiny thumb linking to a lightbox, when they've been posting large photos on their Tumblr page.

I'm having the same issue as the original poster of this thread. I use 'be social' and the link it puts on facebook is a link to the individual image, not the entire gallery. Users have to close the image and then go back to the start of the gallery to view images.

I also note that in the facebook post there is a link that says "more from this gallery" (or similar) at the bottom of the post, but most people will click on the first link they see which is to a single image. Is this the way it's supposed to behave?

I'd really link the main (and very visible) link in the facebook post to be a link to the gallery rather then individual image.

it appears that when I posted a photo link from smugmug photo on my Tumblr: http://seasurfnbird.tumblr.com/ that when clicked on it just went to the lightbox view. The image got re-blogged a few times and that is when I realized that when it is double tapped it just goes to lightbox (no way to reference how to purchase my photo). I went back in and edited the Tumblr blog post with a reference URL to my SM Gallery and that works fine BUT... the Tumbler re-blogs still reference my SM lightbox photo and not the gallery where they can buy the photo!
what to do? Delete to blog and start again or will it refresh correctly in a while?
