After months of deliberation, I finally bought a D2X. Found a good deal on a lightly used body owned by a pro.

Now I've got a lot of reading ahead of me. What an amateur hack like me is going to do with this professional 12mp camera should be interesting.:scratch

I feel like a kid on the first night of Hannukah!:clap

Congrats! I wouldn't mind having a D2X myself.... I'm sure if I had a D2x instead of a stupid car, I wouldn't have to spend $1800 every time the "check engine" light comes on now, would I? Hmmmm.... I guess I'd probably be spending even more when the "NAS" light comes on... http://www.digitalgrin.com/images/smilies/rolleyes1.gif

Take care and happy trails,

Nice try, Ian.
I don't have any money left to buy any lenses. I thought I would just try using the body alone without a lens for a while.:D

Okay then here's what you need to do: Take a pocket knife, and shave down the body cap until it's paper thin. then, take a needle and poke a tiny hole in it, taking care to clean up any fringey excess with that pocket knife again. and Voila! You have a pinhole camera, the image sharpness of which will vary depending on how good you were at poking that hole...

Good luck!

That's pretty good Matt (I bet it would work too) :D

See, the problem with dSLRs is that the body is just a tiny part of the big
picture...kinda like crack. Once you've got the body, you'll need glass :D

Just hope you're not like Andy buying and selling and buying :wow
