I would like some overall critiques of the following two pictures... everything from composition to lighting. . thanks.

thanks uberopps... I'm sorry I suck... I did read the rules... but I've never been good at following directions. . I'll do better next time... I promise... but now that we all know how much I suck... any comments on the photos...:huh

i like the composition, it's fairly classic - the pic has some nice drama to it, and there's good tonal range. it's a lovely shot and i can't think of any improvement. bet it would look good in print :thumb

I think Andy's description of 'drama' is very apt.
However, I see some nasty haloing down the RHS of the trunk (unsharpen mask overkill???)
