Hi guys,
I went camping in Algonquin Park, just 2.5hrs north of Toronto, Canada. I took these photos with my Nikon D70 + Sigma 18-50 f2.8 lens.
What do you think? Comments are welcomed.
Cheers.

All great shots but a big WOW on that last one. I couldn't stop staring at it.

Nice compositions, nice colors, love the semi-transparency in the last two...I think you got a set of winners here! Only other comment would be to straighten the horizon in the last one.

I really dig that last one. A crop, turning it into a sort of pano shot would be
cool too.

Very nice.
Not sure that the moon adds anything in the first, may be more of a distraction.
The blown highlights in the last distract for me, also.
Overall, though, those are some awesome shots. Makes me miss the northeast (I'm and Adirondack man, myself!)

I really like all of them, especially the black and white, and the water lilie. Nicely exposed. Actually the hi-light in the last one doesn't bother me.
Very well done!

Very nice!! It's a hard pick, but I think I'd give the nod for best two to the last two.
Note that the one of the guy with the fishing pole is clearly over-sharpened -- check out the big halo around the fishing pole. Cut down on the sharpening on that one and it'll go from "good" to "great" ;-).

Ya, I can see that the moon might be a bit distracting. I cloned it out and it didnt make any difference in the photo....I guess I'll leave it out.
Yes, I was trying hard not to blow out the highlights on that one. It was 7:30am and the sun was really harsh. I tried my best :).
Thanks for the comments. I appreciate them.

Have you been to Algonquin Park before?
Just wanted to take a minute to congratulate you and Dani on your budding relationship. Who would've thunk that a relationship could stem from our old STF. :) That's good stuff! You guys make a good lookin' couple. :D
Take care.

Priviet, Vince!
Great compositions and photos.
Still think that they are a bit 'oversharped'.
Sharpening is very delicate operation...
Maybe, you'll change your mind and show us less sharped photos?
Thay are realy great!
Congratulations!

Thanks for the kind comments. I am flattered that these comments are from you since I am often inspired by your photos (especially from the STF!). :smile6
I agree. Others have pointed out that I've oversharpened a couple of my photos. I 'd better back off on the sharpening in the future; especially before I start seeing the halos around my photos.
I actually decreased the sharpening a bit before I printed these out.
Take care, Yuri.
