Yep, it's still there.
The valley is looking it's worst right now, waterfalls barely flowing, the aftermath of the tourist season ( meadows trampled, garbage on the side of the roads, etc.. ), very little wildlife to be found. The good news is: Winter is on it's way and the valley will start all over for another year..
Yosemite at it's worst, is still better than most places at their best.

Nice series Ed, I love the first one the best.
I was just up there a few weeks ago myself. I've been there 100's of times, but this was the first time I stopped at the Ansel Adams Gallery...at least that I can remember. Yes, I am soooo looking forward to winter too!

Ed, the flooding during the middle of May didn't help either. When I pulled out there was about 8" of water on the roadway in front of the chapel and the water was up to about halfway between the roadway and the chapel. I hope that it didn't get any higher. One of the campgrounds was completely flooded and one of the feeder streams to the Merced was pushing into Curry Village. It wasn't good at all.

Dixie, it wasn't good , I went up right after the roads opened after the flooding. I had never seen the Merced run so high, it was a real mess. I run up there about once a month or so, I can't wait to shoot up there again with some snow on the ground...

I can imagine the anticipation for winter. Have only been to Yosemite once (in the Spring) and it must be great covered in snow. Certainly it will be a bonus not to have too many tourists!
