I uploaded a few MOV files right out of a Canon G11 at 640x and they are only shown in my gallery at (I'm guessing) 320x. Is this because they are still processing in the background or something?
Ideally when a visitor clicks on one of my videos I want it to play at default size of 640x. Is this possible?
Later: OK, I noticed now turning on HD and turning off stretch seems to display the 640x size I wanted, but getting there is a battle. I am *so* hoping 640x can be the default
Thank you,
-Bob

Anyone know how to make the 640x videos display at 640x without selecting full screen and turning stretch off?
Has everyone accepted there is no fix for this?

Just learned something: The videos I uploaded, the only ones I ever uploaded are in a gallery with photos.
I just uploaded a few more videos to a new gallery and it is work perfectly they way I want it to work!
So I guess issie is not with the camera, or anything else: you just cannot have video and photos in the same gallery and expect it to work flawlessly.
Agree or disagree?
Thanks!

Disagree. ;)
There should be no difference if you have photos in the gallery or not. Can you link us to the gallery in question? If you don't want to link it here, feel free to email us on the helpdesk and we can take a look.

Great idea, I can share here

I noticed the problem went away when I turned off Viewer Controlled to allow the user to choose the gallery style, for example when I chose Thumbs only. But I changed it back to Viewer Controlled so you can see what it is doing.
Thanks!

Those videos are playing at the DVD size for me, which is what the G11 outputs. Are you able to click on the size picker above the video to choose the iPod/DVD size? If you toggle between that and Web size you should see the size change.

Hi, that fixed it. BUt I have to first click on a photo and then choose the size. Maybe that became the default somehow with the photos previously uploaded to the gallery. I dunno but I understand now that is usually does work right and will try a new gallery when I get some more video shot.
Thanks!

What you are describing is the normal way that SmugMug galleries have always worked for both stills & videos. It's a gallery, you have to select the particular still or video before viewing it. The actual size of the image that gets displayed when you click on the selected image depends on the size of your browser. If you have your browser full screen then an image that will fit within that full screen will be displayed while if your browser is just a small window then just a small image will be show.
