Yep, this one does night glows both Fri. & Sat. night (weather permitting). Apparently our river valley is an ideal environment for flying - good gentle currents and rolling hills with lots of pastureland for those unplanned landings :rofl

It's always lots of fun and visitors come from around the world to both participate and watch.

So far the weather has not been very cooperative. After weeks of excruciating heat with no wind to relieve it, the temperatures have dropped (whew!) but the rain and wind have moved in.

I did get a few shots two nights ago right at sunset when the balloons flew directly over my deck - and some the previous dawn as well. There haven't been any 'glows' yet due to the weather - crap!

Unfortunately the weather this weekend hasn't been the best. Strong winds and cold. But, this morning, despite the chill, 31 balloons took to the skies. I'm just waiting to see if they are able to fly tonight or not.

This event is a photographer's paradise. I don't know about other baloooning events, but the viewers at this fiesta have the opportunity to walk out into the field where the balloons are readying for their take off. Then, if you have judged the winds properly, the balloons pass directly over you...

It is almost visual overload... 750 Balloons took part in the mass ascention...
