Hiya Woody and welcome to Dgrin :wave

Nice shot :thumb :thumb Good job of panning and I like the action you captured with this shot.

I'm not thrilled about the centered composition and the pic may benefit from toning down the highlights (back of his leathers, white on the front and back of bike and that white area in front of the front tire) a bit :dunno This is sort of a personal taste issue, I guess, Also, it looks like it could use a touch of USM (sharpening).

This is very nice work though. Especially, if this was your first time shooting a race :clap

Thanks for sharing it with us,
Steve

Tell you what, Woody, I don't see much wrong here. I might crop it tighter and juice up the saturation a bit. And the rider's pose might not be the best. And I'm curious to know if you could see his eyes if you messed with his visor.

But great panning blur, lovely wheel blur, sweet wheelie.... very nice.

I've been shooting motorcycles for about 2 yrs, and just now am starting to get better at panning...I do agree with the white being blown out... When I get home tonight I'm going to check out the visor (eyes)...see what I can find out.

Thanks again guys!! SmugMug Ruleshttp://www.dgrin.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=156075#
