The Invite. OK, I know I am not doing this right, I was so excited about these shots. I have never been able to catch the head dunk w the splash of a "hunting" bird. I am starting at the top of my upload from yesterday and working my way down. This is a series of food gathering shots........... I have some better ones, but no better splash ones, that I remember, and I just want to share.
It was very windy, you can see the feathers practically blowing off of the bird's neck. If I am known by my worst shot, well, posting these is a mistake. They are not my worst, nor are they my best, they are just my first.
If you wish, I would appreciate comments. If not, thanks for looking. When I post my "best" of the day, I will let you know. I would like to share my excitement, but if you prefer, you are forewarned and can wait for the "best".
Of the food shots. I have already posted most of my best BIF shots, especially those Ibis (es).
I love this lens, pans beautifully! All of these were handheld, as I have mentioned. I did not expect to see this wealth of birds crossing the causeway back from my doctor's office on Sullivan's Island. I am tickled pink, blush.
Thanks, ginger
My egret welcomes you:
