My 30 year old son is deeply afraid of these guys and I never understood it. :eek1
I don't bother them and they don't bother me! However, I failed to have him sign a release!:rofl

Well, I don' like bees, but I would chance it for that shot. What is scary is when you/I have something sticky on me, or whatever, and the bees just won't stay away. Maybe that is what happens to kids. They always seem to be sticky with food somewhere.
Now a hornet, I would not try for that shot, dead or alive.

Bumble Bees are the least pesky of all the varieties of bees IMO. I think their sheer size makes people wary. Thanks for looking and commenting. :D
