Why don't nice name URL's always work?

Example:

http://photos.chesterbullock.com/Art/Landscapes/ takes me to the Landscapes gallery. It looks like it does a redirect tot he first image, since the URL is http://photos.chesterbullock.com/Art/Landscapes/10253036_tYCBH#710294284_r8oG7 after the page is done loading.

http://photos.chesterbullock.com/Portraits/Souther/ does not take you to the gallery page for this set. It is a private, unlisted gallery, and "Portraits" is not visible from the Gallery home at http://photos.chesterbullock.com. It redirects me to http://photos.chesterbullock.com/Portraits But if I want to send the client to the page, I need to use http://photos.chesterbullock.com/Portraits/Souther/10715973_hb48T

It would be nice if the galleries in Portraits worked the same as those in Art, but I cannot find a setting to do this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Chester

Nicenames don't work for unlisted galleries, since that would compromise the security of the unlisted gallery. It is generally easy to guess a nicename, and we work on the belief that you don't want anyone guessing how to access your unlisted galleries. Thus, an unlisted gallery url must contain the gallery key (all those random numbers behind the nicename!).
