Just got a kenko 1.4* 300 pro extender (along with a canon 200mmF2.8L lens but that's another story) Just been trying it with my 105mm Ex lens. As far as I can make out it gives me a magnification ratio of 1.47:1. Full frame width is about 1.5cms.
Anyway a few pics using it. All are uncropped re-sized.

First a small moth (about 1cm long) feeding on a lace hydrangea.

Just stretch a bit further to the next flower

And lastly a small hoverfly (about 8mm long) just managing to get it's tongue in the nectar of a potentilla flower.

Macro is a world I haven't done much exploring in. These shots are
beautiful examples of the macro world.

Thanks Ian- Once you start looking in it's difficult to stop- there's such a weird and beautiful world in there that we are not used to seeing.

Amazing, the extra reach that you're getting with the extender!! The 2nd & 3rd show that really well.
