Hey Ginger,

Looks like the new lens has some fine bokeh. It should serve you well once you get used to it and use it in some good light

I could be wrong (usually am :D) but it may be a some type of Cackle (sp) at least thats what they call em here. I'm only going by the eye they look the same as the ones here :dunno

Hey Ginger. Not sure what these birds are...but they look familiar. There are some black birds in the area that chase my sorry butt out of "their" territory. I was out shooting pelicans one day at the inter-coastal waterway. These black birds had their nesting sites in place and would protect their designated area (approx. 50' radius) They would dive bomb me and very aggressively try and take my head off. I have never experienced such aggression from a bird. I'd just get out of range of one set of birds...and another set from another nesting site would buzz me. This went on from the beach to almost all the way home. It was like a twilight zone episode. I did figure out turning the old ball cap backwards did help from the sneak attack from behind. :huh

Good light, here? Lately?

g (and more rain coming. Not storms like Florida, street flooding rain, haze, to grey to rain, with more grey in between...............that has been the story this summer here. Great light last summer: on the beach. Even if I had good light, this is not a beach lens, most of the time. That is why I keep the 70-200.) For really good light, it would be the 17-40, at the beach, I mean.

The more I use it, the more I will be able to use it when the time comes.
I got a thermometer, mouth one, yesterday, I have had a fever all week, no wonder I have felt so crummy. But when that lens came, I was out.
