Windows message "secure and unsecure"

I continue to get intermittently get the windows message saying the my site contains both secure and unsecured content. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't! It happened this morning, but when I checked back a few moments ago (after clearing my cache and history), it did not. I was logged out both times.

I loaded approx 1 GB of photos to a gallery. Is it because it was not a secure site (https:// (https:///)), my visitors get the Windows message saying the site has both secured and unsecured content?

I originally thought that was because my banners were on an unsecured site, but I changed that so that they are loading from https:// (https:///), and that message still comes up sometimes. It appears to be because the photos themselves are not on a SSL enabled site, because when I click "no", the photos will not load.

Do I need to move the photos so that they all reside on a SSL enabled site? Do I have to re-load them all?

How can I ensure that in the future my photos will be on a secure site so that my customers do not get the message referenced above? Or is it some other problem all together?

What is your site? I don't think the basic smugmug photo site is in and of itself a secure site. The secure area is the cart / checkout process. The issue may be because you do have links to a secure site on your page.

I noticed that there is a second secure area. When you log in to smugmug, the URL changes to HTTPS, and later back to HTTP. It seems to use HTTPS during certain sensitive operations such as editing your account info. I think this is good, to secure our login/password transmissions. Secure connections are more important now that more of us are using laptops on open wireless networks.

My guess is that site visitors will never see the "mixed content" message because they wouldn't be logged in. Though they might if they're smugmug members, I don't know.
