Has anyone had any success with getting the simple uploader to replace video files?

Now that SmugMug supports HD, I've been trying to update my existing files. It works fine if I delete the video and then re-upload it, but I figured I'd save some time by using the replace feature. I went to a gallery, clicked Upload, and dragged in the video files. I set it to replace duplicates, and that's what the uploader said it would do. The files uploaded, and several hours later, nothing has changed.

In addition, the files don't show up in my upload log. Other new files that I uploaded before those ones cleared the queue a while ago, so I don't think it's a queue issue.

Does the replace feature work, or should I delete the originals first? (If I do it that way I have to rearrange the album again to put the video files in the right order since it doesn't get date/time taken metadata from video files)

Delete and reupload. I 'll check on the replace feature next week.

Just thought I'd let you know that the replace isn't working for photos, either. (Using the simple uploader.) I had imported some JPEGs into a gallery and then went to replace them with less compressed versions from the original source, and they upload but nothing changes in the gallery. Trying again after 12 hours still shows "Replacing" instead of "Identical, skipping", confirming that they were not replaced.

Andrew, please write our Support Heroes (http://www.smugmug.com/help/emailreal) with details and we'll help from the help desk. Thanks.

Never mind, I figured out the issues with replacing the photos. It was replacing them, it's just that if it auto-rotates a photo based on the EXIF information, the uploader doesn't recognize that it's an identical file, so it will allow it to be uploaded again.

The video replacement part is still broken, though, I'll send in a help desk ticket so you can track that issue.
