I am trying to put together a short list of current dSLR cameras from all the major players, avoiding "niche" cameras and camera backs. I am purposely not including cameras that I feel are showing their age (Canon 300D and the Kodak DCS - SLR series), or are simply re-purposed, reduced function versions (Pentax *ist DL, Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D).

This list will be used to start a new system, and is sorted by lens mount. In one case, the Fuji S3 is sorted in with Nikon because of the lens mount. Otherwise the list is sorted by manufacturer name. (Lucky Canon)

The list is compiled from DPReview and Steve's digicam information. Yes, there is a reason why the features are limited to those shown.

Does this look fairly complete and accurate?

You left out the Canon 300D.

You left out the Canon 300D.
That was intentional. I feel the shooting performance of the 350 versus the 300 is a major improvement and the price differential is too small to mention both. It is a judgement call that I don't think I'll regret.

No Sigma Foveions??I considered them, but they are such special purpose cameras, I had to consider them as "niche" cameras and so they didn't make the list.

The Nikon D2HS may get dropped for similar reasons. I'm still mulling that over. (Heck, I couldn't even get a D2HS, even if I wanted one.)

Thanks,
