i like the first one-surfer in the background really makes it-terns needed a little more light to get the eyes.

was the pelican shot at merewether beach? i worked across the road from it for 6months ,a few years ago-not many people can say that they could look out the window and watch whales with calves swim by and sea eagles swooping on prey....newie is an ok place-your sea baths are very photogenic too!

The Pelican was on the rocks between Nobby's Beach and Newcastle Baths so you were close gtc.

The Terns were timid and it took a lot of "no eye contact, zigzag, stop and drop" to get as close as I did...A few people thought it was amusing and a lot of effort for a "boring gull"! Personally I think the slicked back plummage on the males are pretty cool.:rofl

Can't wait for my DSLR and fingers crossed Bigma 50-500mm monster!!!
