Thanks...I think? LOL.The shot is fine but I have had a running feud with those creatures. When I used to live in Queens, NY they hung out in the parking lot of my local grocery store. Every time I did my grocery shopping I had to wash my car when I got home. http://dgrin.com/images/smilies/xxbah.gif

Thanks....and I am not a big fan of the "gulls". They make too much noise....and ughm...droppings. This was not a very nice gull either. Looks a bit haggard...ratty..falling apart? It's sad how many of these birds on the beach only have a single leg. ewwww :huh :dunno
I like the terns much better. They at least have a cool hair doo. :thumb

Yeah, but they do deserve respect! They entertain our children. They entertain me, or used to.
The terns, I have not seen their hair before. I can't tell if it was a bad or a good hair day for them. I love those birds. Haven't seen any lately. I look at the beach, I see people, no birds.
good shots of the gulls and the terns,
ginger (I used to think they only had one leg til I found the other one tucked up under their belly.)

Thanks Ginger. I'm just joshin'. I'd never harm an animal. Im not a big fan of the "gull"...but they are entertaining for sure. They are just so "dirty" and usually missing "parts" it seems. I know what you mean about these birds (and many others) tucking their leg up under themselves. I'm sure many of our local birds do not have a leg. It's sad. Not sure how they lose them...but it's pretty common. I will spare you any close-ups to show this.
Cheers

Nice ones BMP :thumb :thumb The terns came out nicely too :clap
I hear ya about gulls :rolleyes They can be a PITA and noisy to boot but if they're the only subjects to shoot, ya shoot gulls.....lol While I'd rather shoot raptors or colorful waterfowl, I have seen some "knock your socks off" gull shots posted. Maybe because they're so prolific we take them for granted :dunno I do know that if you get good at shooting gulls in flight, you're a good bet to nail any other fliers when the chance presents itself :D
Good work on these :thumb

Thanks folks. I think the (new) saying goes something like....
A bad day shooting BIF is better than any good day at work.:dunno And shooting "gulls" is more fun than a sharp stick in the eye...or a trip to the dentist.:rofl
Cheers
