OK, so I'm not really a bird shooter, but my daughter got some new chicks, so here's a couple of shots I took.

The store gave her a couple for free, since they were so small and getting picked on by the larger chicks. Hope they make it, they're pretty scrawny.

All shot with my 100 2.8 Macro lens. Got some practice. I probably need to stop it down a bit more for more depth, but I didn't want to go too high on the ISO or subject them to the flash....

my 6 year old says way to go! she loves chciks and ever since she hatched them at school we're on a no poultry diet here.... :rofl

Did you get her those chicks, so you could have birds to shoot for this forum?

Chicks grew up, I am 65 (think I have told everyone already), I still remember the chicken coop my father had to build to house our grown up cute little chicks. This was in nice suburbia, probably zoning laws now, they died, probably were taken to the pound. I was given a different cover story. But we never got another chick. (I can still smell them..............)
