Defending the birds? Is this the same guy that called them "EVIL" ...and mentioned shooting them with a shotgun?? :huh :dunno :scratch :rofl

I guess they are not "really" dirty. They are usually so darn white they are blinding. They also make a good exposure difficult against the bright Florida sun. So easy to blow out highlights/whites on these "clean" birds.

I wish they were blue or purple...or something. WHite is soooo boring after a while. Thank heavens for photoshop. :thumb

Thanks Harry.

Bird Man, love your snowy shots!

Aren't you all hot down there in "sunny" florida?

I love Snowys, you could send all evil Snowys to Mt Pleasant, SC.

Do you PS the snowys into white, or is your dirty snowy from another shoot?

I don't get dirty snowys, but I do get dirty egrets. I actually read about this in a magazine. They molt, look terrible before and during, then the time to get their photo is when they have their now coat/feathers.

Thanks Ginger.

Yes...it's been HOT here in sunny Florida. Heat index for the month has been averaging about 105*.:hotfood Makes shooting rather uncomfortable.

I'll see if I can send somd of the "evil" snowys your way.:thumb

There were a couple/few different snowys I shot on the same day. Not much PS/PP work done. I do use a little dodge 'n' burn tool in some areas.

These birds are not real "dirty". They are pretty darn clean compared to myself. :rofl I live in white t-shirts...and well..they are never "white" like the egrets. :scratch Guess more bleach is needed in the wash??:dunno

Cheers
