I think its great to experiemnt and thats where we learn the most. This shot doesn't work for me. The blown out area in the left hand corner is just a distraction. There's no subject for the eye to lock on to in the shot.

Your idea is good and I would try it again with better lighting.

spooky and artistic, I like it. I can imagine others not being really into it, but this is my gig for artsy fartsy weird shots :) How about creating some kinda painting-like image from it using a photoshop action?
