Exactly what are we looking at here? I like the leading lines, but it looks like a waste water pond. I have a hard time looking at the entire photo on my monitor at once (since it is so large)... But I am not sure the sky adds any value to this photo. I would try cropping the photo to focus more attention on the ball (if that is what it is).

I think the shot is great except that it has too much sky. I dont' think it adds anything to the image and I actually find it distracting. Otherwise, I think it's neat how the hoses/pipes (whatever they are) look like tentacles reaching out for whatever is floating in the water. Definitely weird and eye-catching. Gives it an H.P. Lovecraft feel.

Thank you for trimming your post. I appreciate it.
This image is kind of cool because the pipes look like a strange monster
reaching for something in the lake. I could easily see a varient of this that
crops out some of the sky and most of the pipes focusing on the trees as
subject matter.
The sky is a bit OE. Since you've got some cool clouds in the picture, I'd
recommend the use of a polarizer to add more definition. I'd also consider
a wider angle to give the sense of size to this landscape.
Finding these pipes adds a dimension to the image that I wouldn't have
thought about.
Thanks for posting!

Thanks everyone, apprecitate it.
@Jim This is an artificial Lake, with a fake waterfall and all, to decorate a large pik nik park. From the other side the pipes are almost invisible and it looks really nice, with litlle plants and fishes and fireflies and frogs etc... maybe they show up because we haven't seen any decent rain for months. That ball... I kind of like it there, but no one had any idea what it was for, nor did I think about it when I took the shot.
@ Erich Yep, I think I kept the sky for the contrast it gives, maybe it'll be better cropped
@Ian No problem. Part of the reason the sky is there is because I intentionally used my widest angle ( 28 ) to make the pipes look larger.
By the way, I have a couple of exposures of this frame in Raw, if you think something can be changed.
