Canon Photo Paper -- "Plus" vs. "Pro"?

I've been using Canon Photo Paper Plus (Glossy) in my i9900 printer and have been pretty satisfied with the results.

I've considered getting Canon's Photo Paper Pro (and apparently have to go to Pro if I print 13x19). However, it's a lot more expensive than Plus and from looking at the specs I don't see what's better about Pro. In fact, it's slightly lighter weight and lower brightness than Plus -- both of which are the opposite of what I'd expect.

Can anyone explain what the difference is / in what printing situations it's worthwhile to use the Pro paper?

I also have n i9900, and use both the plus and pro. I think one difference is with longevity. I believe all of Canon's photo life claims are with the pro paper.

i have been using kodak pro paper in my i9950 with very good results after slight profile changes(inside there is a good profile correction sheet)

I use Canon Photo Paper Plus but then I've also got a couple of packs
from Red River Paper that have also been very nice papers.

I don't know if it comes in the sizes you want because I am printing with Canon's S-800 which only goes to 8½ X 11 (have never seen legal length photo paper or you could also stick 8½ X 14 in it).

I have used Matte through their Professional (which is described as brilliant gloss) but not their Portrait Studio (which is described as brilliant satin.) These are made by International Paper. I got into using them because several mentioned them on dpreview several years ago, I liked them once I tried them and to top it all off I can actually buy then locally in a small town in Southern Illinois!
