On the Customizing page, paste it in the CSS section.

Is this the ONLY way to turn off the slideshow. I just want to turn the thing off not necessarily remove the button...

Could you elaborate a little? After all: what's the use of the button when you don't want slideshows to play? It'd be strange to have a button stating > slideshow, that doesn't play a slideshow. So I guess I don't understand the setup you're after.

I would like to have the choice for each individual gallery. I would prefer it to not be forced with any particular set-up style. If it's deleted completely, I won't have a choice for using it. Obviously, if it's not chosen for a gallery to be used, it shouldn't show up on the pages. Just like it used to.
