View Full Version : guess I can't upload 705x360?

I have some 4x3 letter boxed video. I cropped off the black bands on the top & bottom and removed some of the black from the sides. I guess Smug can't handle the odd size?

Forgot to mention that I checked the upload log. All the 705x360 videos came up with an error.

I suggest that you crop to a standard 16:9 ratio i.e. 640x360

I do have other videos up there with the same dimensions. That was working, but not sure why it stopped. I just uploaded a few 720x486 so it is uploading, just not the other size.

I'll do a 640x360 test. Good idea. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes, our system really works best with a standardized video resolution. Use one of the ones we have listed here under Video display tech. specs: http://wiki.smugmug.net/display/SmugMug/Video+help

Other resolutions may work, however your aspect ratio could be squeezed. Using one of the above resolutions will ensure that your video aspect ratio is not changed at all.

Thanks. I got 720x405 (16:9) to work, but as you said it's get squished
