I am extremely frustrated right now. I want to import a 208mb video onto my smugmug account, but every time I try it messes up my internet connection. I have tried every option from old faithful to exporting it from iphoto to macdaddy to drag and drop - nothing works and it's really making me mad. I now can no longer get on line wirelessly and must plug in my eithernet directly into my computer. Even then my connection gets disrupted when I try to do this. And no matter what I do, I just cannot upload this video.

I'm sorry that's happening!
When you say it disrupts your network, do you mean that your network slows down? If so, this is fairly normal since the upload bandwidth is typically shared with your download bandwidth. I know when I'm uploading a video, and go to browse the web, my browsing will be a bit slower for instance.

Wired is almost always more stable, and faster than wireless for uploading. Even with wireless, you have a finite amount of bandwidth. Every little bit of traffic eats away at what is available. Others using the same connection also eat up some of what is available. If you are having connection problems, there may be something wrong with your router, or your ISP. Its even possible that your ISP is "throttling" you if you are using too much bandwidth. Chances are though that there is a connection problem. You might be having packet loss etc.
Are you getting any errors message? What indication do you have of a problem? That might help narrow down what is happening.
