Hey guys!

I have been looking for awhile for a bag to hold

-Laptop (for now its a 17" but I'm hoping to downgrade to 13" so its okay if it doesn't fit the 17")
-1 DSLR + kit lens
-70-300mm lens
-1 other lens (not as big as 70-300)
-Nice size compartments

I am finding TONS of bags but the thing is I also want to use this for school so I don't want more than I need. I have been looking at the Kata DR-467i (http://www.amazon.com/Kata-DR-467i-Digital-Rucksack-Black/dp/B003036CTC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=photo&qid=1273165350&sr=1-1) and I think its the thing I'm going to get but I hate that the side pocket looks barely big enough for a water bottle. I would like to put a nalgene in the side pocket.

I do LOVE that the dividers come out so I can make it a normal backpack because my boyfriend and friends love to hike, I wouldn't mind killing two birds with one stone.

So my question is.. do you have this bag or have any others that might also work? I just got frustrated when I kept finding bags with more and more compartments for lens.. I don't have 10 lens right now. a camera spot and 3-4 side compartments (2 additional lens + maybe a future lens) is all I need.. nothing more.

Thanks everyone!!

I have one of these (http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=151868&highlight=versabag) and absolutely LOVE it. For the price, you really can't beat it!!!! Somebody else has the Crumpler version (was it eoren? I can't remember now) and loaded it with his camera gear and a netbook in the front compartment, so I think for a small camera outfit+smallish laptop it would work just fine.

in case you're still looking for a bag...

if you're willing to give international shipping a try, at about $60 for the bag, this backpack is a good alternative to the Kata:

Basically its a fastpack 250 under a different brand name
