If you have an itch, you gotta scratch. :):

Good advice....lol

I really like the first one with his eyes open so wide. Nice and sharp too :thumb :thumb

Makes a person think how lucky we are to have hands and fingers to scratch our itches :rofl

You're right about the hands and fingers. Can't really see the horse using a camera. :):

These were taken at the pasture in Cades Cove, Great Smoky Mountains National Park. They have about 75 horses which they turn out at the end of the day. Then they come over to fence to beg handouts from everyone going around the Cades Cove loop next to the pasture.

Hi there,

You caught that horse from a really funny angle--he looks like a donkey.

Very cute capture indeed.

Michal, the angle caught my eye and that's the reason that I took the two shots. Many times I've seen horses scratch an itch on the neck or under their head with a hoof, but this was a first in seeing them using something else to scratch themselves. Thanks for taking the time to look and comment.

Mike, I would have to agree that your statement about the horsin' around is undeniable. Thanks for taking the time to look and place the nice comment.
