A few of today's macro shots to test smugbug, I mean smugmug hosting (courtesy of Andy).
Worked it out at last.

Not sure if my eyes are deceiving me but I'm pretty sure if you look at the abdomen of this hoverfly you can see the underside of the outer skin through it.

Spider tying itself in knots?- actually just securing a recent capture to the flower head

Aewsome stuff.:thumb It almost looks like there's even a smaller bug on the hover fly's face.

If you mean on the last shot- think that's just one of it's antennae.

You pass the test with flying colors...these are amazing shots.


Which lens did you use here? I see it is 105 Macro--but which company--canon, Sigma, other?

The last frame is wonderful and I love the color contrast and DOF

Thanks Michal- It's a Sigma 105mmEX (non-DG) macro lens
