I ordered the 10-22 from Dell on the 11th, when it was still listed as "in stock". On the 12th it said it would ship "on or before August 15". Today, it changed to "on or before August 22". I leave for China on August 25; anyone want to take wagers on whether I'll have the lens by the time I leave? (And to give Dell some credit, they upgraded my shipping from 3-5 day ground to next-day for free.)

i do alot of business with Dell. 1st let me tell you that just because they tell you it has been upgraded to ship faster does not nean that it will. 2nd, there is no way to tell when the lens will arrive. so what to do?? GET THE BEST PRICE while u can.... Make them give you a $50.00 credit / not a coupon when it finally arrives. BTW, i got my 10-22 from Dell for $539.00

I hear you about not counting on them delivering when they say they will. Much as I like to believe in the best in people, I am from NYC and so am a bit cynical. I nearly got a LNIB 10-22 on FM for the same price as the Dell Deal today, but I was about 45 seconds too late! So I continue to look, but will also contact Dell about getting a further discount or something.

Wow..! That's a steal. They don't make it easy with those coupon codes though do they..? I tried so many codes and some knocked out others and it didn't just take the best one of the bunch. Coupons and mail in rebates annoy me, but I'll take advantage of them where I can. Not in any rush for my 10-22, so I don't really care about delivery as much as price.

After they changed the ship date from 8/15 to 8/22 (without telling me) I decided not to risk the lens not arriving in time for my trip next week. Apparently some other folks did the same thing, and B&H wound up selling to 10-quality used lenses really fast this morning.

FYI, my B&H used lens arrived yesterday and is great! Very glad I found this opportunity through the online community!
