what i love about kaity is that she has the best non-smile face ever. i say "now, don't smile" and she slips on this super amazing face.

thanks so much for looking! i'd appreciate any comments at all, good or bad, thanks!

(sorry for flooding the forum with 3 new threads, i thought it was better than the original jumbo thread)

Nice set, comments similar to the other set, straps :P

One thing I noticed in your shoots, is that you like the diagonal shots. <WARNING OPINION COMING UP> While I think that works in some shots, in other shots it puts her off balance; i.e. I look at the picture and it appears as if she is gonna fall out of the frame.

BTW, you keep taking pictures like these, and her BF (and perhaps your GF) might start taking issue :wink

Overall, nice work, I like your portraits a lot.

i totally see what you mean, and i know that it doesn't always work, but i sometimes like to angle the shot to match an angle in the scene, i guess it's just my style. the problem is that sometimes it doesnt work and i look at a picture and cant remember why i went diagonal. it can also makes interesting debates over how to rotate the image on the computer because some shots can go both ways.

her bf, ian was there and willingly participated. my (ex but we're still together) gf, sarah knows that it's just what i do, but i would NEVER say how pretty i think kaity is in front of sarah.

Overall, nice work, I like your portraits a lot.
thanks, i really appreciate it.

dj-s1, when i crop, i keep the 3:2 ratio, so i dont think i could've cropped that picture too well

First off, all the shots are great. I cant add much else which others havent said.

But one thing which I didnt like so much was the cropping (no, not the diagonal thing... i kinda prefer them like that). But how close you come to cropping her at the joints, i.e. the knees in the first 2 and especially the 3rd pic. It sometimes makes the subject look like an amputee :)

btw - my fav. is the 3rd from the bottom... its the angle which makes it for me. Good work!

thanks, you're right it sometimes does look like that, however, i didn't crop any of those pictures, i was either really up close with my tamron 28-75 2.8 or from basically anywhere with my 70-200 2.8L. i need to work on not cuttting off body parts. thanks.
