Good one Jeff. One good thing about snakes is that they will eat night herons. :D Seriously you did well to capture him so clearly with all the surrounding area have the same coloration. Good job. :thumb

I thought we were playing poker...not tossin' dice? Snake eyes? :huh :rofl
Cool beans on the capture. Like most things...I don't know my snakes. Is that a rattler ? ** best Indy Jones** "I hate snakes ". :dunno Not too fond of spiders either.
How close were you to this monster? I have a huge black racer snake living out in my water treatment equipment area. Damn thing scares the BeJesus out of me every time I go out there.
Cheers

BMPfirst it is a rattler and it is the another good use of a tri pod you use it to find hold and replace the snake for shooting .now never shoot snakes with a macro --maybe in the zoo but that shot you never get in a zoo .when are you going to be able to walk and shoot :dunno :scratch if you can't get around go to fla and car shoot with Harry :thumb :1drink i hear the music is very good -- early rock and roll --or was that big band :rofl

Hey Jeff nice shot of the rattler. Where did you see him? I was over at the pond and saw a bunch of dragonflys, Preying Mantis, Grasshoppers and one Green Heron. Well at least you have been out shooting, a lot of nice shots. Have fun. Talk to you later John
