I'm not sure which area these pictures should go in, but seeing as statues are part of the graveyard landscape I'm sticking them in here.

I took a trip to Atlanta with the boyfriend last weekend and we went to Oakland Cemetery because I wanted to check out all the old tombstones and take some pictures. It turns out photographing statues and tombstones isn't nearly as easy at it seems.

Here are a couple of shots, tips and opinions are welcome and appreciated!

I got a 70-300mm Sigma lens while in Atlanta because I needed something other than the 18-55mm lens that came with my camera and I am poor. :cry Anyway, I was testing it out with this picture:

Very nice, pepper, especially the second one. And I like the way you post treated the shots. I've been meaning to go down there, just never got my act together. Thanks for the kick in the pants to get moving.

Thanks! It's an interesting place to go. Be sure to look for the grave of the unknown Confederate soldier. We missed seeing it, but I heard it has a giant lion statue. I'm going to have to make the six hour drive back down there to see it sometime. :wink
