Looks like the south side of the lake down by the air port.

Beautifully exposed and it sure looks dry. Being from the midwest, am I close to assuming
that's at least 10-20 miles across there? I'm always amazed at how far the distant hills
actually are. Nothing like that here.

I was surprised at the size of the salt lake , over 50 miles wide!!!

Where it was i was driving towards Reno on the 80 and this was at a view point /rest area.

Where it was i was driving towards Reno on the 80 and this was at a view point /rest area.Yep definitely on the south side. Up north they have water and even a island with a bunch of animals on it. They also have a huge salt mine up there also.

I am begining to get the hang of the 50mm 1.4, when you can take shots at f20 it sure helps the DOF.
