Here are a few more shots from my hike along the Red River last Sunday. It was a hot morning, but some of the deeper pools (not pictured here) made the heat tolerable...
We've been in a drought all Summer, the rainfall is about 8 inches below normal for the year already, AND we've had 60 days with temperatures above 90 degrees F...
The River shows the result of a hot Summer.

Fred Thanks Fred! Well, we are having some rain & thunder right now:clap.
Whether the Gorge gets any or not is anyone's guess.
I'm going back there in the morning. I usually leave the house by 5:00AM, get there around 6:00AM, try to catch the sunrise if the sky is 'happening'. I'll probably head to Sky Bridge overlook first thing, then hike down to Swift Camp Creek, look for inspiration there and scramble up to Castle Arch to add it to my Arch collection. Usually I'm home by noon. Unless I get carried away like I did last week and hike 5.5 miles...

More good stuff. I had noticed the low water in the last series. Kind of a crazy summer we're having.

--Amy Amy... thanks! Glad you like 'em.
Yes, it is the Red River Gorge in Wolfe, Powell and Menifee Counties in Kentucky. I have this odd addiction to the RRG, I seem to go there every Sunday for my weekly spiritual cleansing.:D
I am currently downloading about 100 from my CF card that I took early this morning. I'll try to post a few later.
