Very nice composition and color. The pale green background is in nice contrast to the darker green of the caterpillar. Very nicely captured :thumb

Hi Dani,
I think I'm ready to reply to this one as I've come back to it several times. I really like your comp and colors on this one. When I first started visiting these sights and seeing all the macros, I had thought that these types of shots must have been easy to get. A fly is a fly and if you get it clearly, it's a good shot...NOT. It's quite apparent that some people, you included, have a nack for putting everything in its proper place:thumb. Here, the comp is wonderful, the curves of the caterpillar contrasting with the straight lines of the stem as well as the lines on the body. The lighting is extremely well done in that I'm having a hard time knowing where the light is coming from and the shot is not flat. Your subject is doing something interesting. You've obviously paid attention to your background, whether intentional or not, because you are consistent with your shots. Your PP has brought out the texture and detail in your subject, as usual. And to top this shot off, you did it with a kit lens. Very impressive.
I just wanted to say that I enjoyed this shot very much.
Thanks for posting,
Chris
