Whenever I get a new lens, I always head out to the chicken yard to test it out. By doing this I get a good sense of how the lens performs on moving subjects. Todays subject was a rooster, the lens was a Canon EF-S 55-250mm.

Ya, I'm quite happy with it. The middle one has no sharpening and it is really sharp. The key is not to use the lens wide open, stopped down a few steps or even just a step it is great. That doesn't bother me.
