Thirty miles of dirt on a motorcycle for a view not to be believed:

I hadn't thought about it when I bought it, but my travel tripod couldn't rotate for the pano shots so I had to hand hold. Eight shots stitched.

That's a great shot. Hand-held panos can certainly work under the right conditions, and you certanly found them that day.
Just out of idle curiosity- could you Google Map where you were when you snapped it?

Just out of idle curiosity- could you Google Map where you were when you snapped it?Judging by the terrain and the shape of the horseshoe, I would say right HERE (http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=grand+canyon&ie=UTF8&hq=Grand+Canyon&hnear=Grand+Canyon,+Williams,+AZ&ll=36.404705,-111.833096&spn=0.103206,0.15398&t=h&z=13)

Jecottrell, sweet catch, hows the roads over there? 4x4 only?

A medium clearance 4WD would be easy. I wouldn't attempt if it were wet at all.
Thanks to all. I attribute it to luck, not skill.

I like this a lot. It's quite different from most of the Grand Canyon shots I see.
