Thirty miles of dirt on a motorcycle for a view not to be believed:

I hadn't thought about it when I bought it, but my travel tripod couldn't rotate for the pano shots so I had to hand hold. Eight shots stitched.

That's a great shot. Hand-held panos can certainly work under the right conditions, and you certanly found them that day.

Just out of idle curiosity- could you Google Map where you were when you snapped it?

Next "Race across the world", I know who my teammate is! (Mr. NavagatingStudSimpsonBrother)

Jecottrell, sweet catch, hows the roads over there? 4x4 only?

A medium clearance 4WD would be easy. I wouldn't attempt if it were wet at all.

Thanks to all. I attribute it to luck, not skill.

I like your mode of transport better :wink

There are a bunch of peeps headed over to Toroweap. Look in the West forum (in Regionals) over on advrider. In case you're interested of course.

I like this a lot. It's quite different from most of the Grand Canyon shots I see.
